My burning desire to cook...without burning down the house

Across from my apartment, at PS Book Shop, there’s a beautiful photography exhibit by artist Moinque Lai. I’m not an art snob, but I know what I like, and her work is exquisite.  Especially this one. Spending the long weekend in my magical neighborhood is anything but a let-down. I finally got around to planting herbs on my balcony today, and tonight I’m meeting friends at L’Artusi (another check off the list). Back in my kitchen, the goal is to do something with the raw cannellini beans I bought on a whim, and bake homemade cannolis for house-gift I need (that they sound alike is coincidental!). Hope everyone is getting their vitamin E (right?) and grilling pretty.
