Killer Chocolate Chip Cookies to Make You Feel Talented
{Adapted from: Baked by Matt Lewis and Renato Poliafito}
Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp baking soda, 1 cup unsalted butter, softened, 1 cup dark brown sugar, 1/2 cup grandulated sugar, 2 large eggs, 2 tsp vanilla extract, 16 oz chocolate chips. I add walnuts or macadamias.
Work: Whisk flour, salt and baking soda. Set aside. In bowl with electric mixer, beat butter and sugars together until smooth and creamy. Add the eggs. Add the vanilla. Mixture should look light and fluffy.
Add half of the flour mixture and mix for 15 secs. Add remaining flour and beat until incorporated. Fold in choc-chips and nuts.
They say refrigerate for a few hours. I usually skip it.
Preheat oven to 375F. Scoop out cookie dough balls and bake for 12-14 mins, on a non-stick pan or parchment paper. Bake until edges of cookies are golden brown. Less is best with these bad boys.
Serve with milk and ego!
